Lord, I pray that ____’s heart and mind will be open to the
truth. That ____ will come to know salvation and freedom
through a personal relationship with you.

Father, please comfort _______. Provide healing from the
trauma of losing his/her parents, and help him/her to gain
strength out of these hardships to begin a new life.

In some cases, the kids in the homes have spent a period of
time roaming for food and shelter. During that time they
may have experienced abuse and inappropriate behavior from
some of the adults they have encountered. They may even
have been forced to endure cruel treatment for the promise
of food or shelter. After such treatment, children
sometimes have a hard time learning to trust adults or
anyone else for that matter. Lord Jesus, help __________
learn to trust again. Help him/her learn to put their trust
in Jesus as his/her main source of provision.

Lord, pour out your love and grace on the caregivers, that
they will be a source of strength and a model for
________as he/she begins to put fear aside. Help them to
comfort _________ as they themselves have been comforted by
you.

Father, I pray that ______’s relationship with you grows
daily. Give him/her a burden to be reading your Word and a
yearning for worship and prayer. Draw him/her close to you
that their prayer life will be abundant.

Lord Jesus, please provide _______ with spiritual mentors so
that somehow throughout his/her life, mature, loving people
from the body of Christ will be willing to come alongside
them and pray for, disciple, and love them.
7.
Lord, teach __________ to submit to you and resist the devil
in your authority. Strengthen him/her by your spirit to
resist temptation in the areas of impurity, peer pressure,
drugs, cheating, lying, etc.

Lord, help _______ to choose healthy friends, and select
positive role models. Bless him/her with meaningful and
lasting friendships.

Lord, I lift up to you _______ 's future. Please provide
the opportunities, experiences and relationships that would
mold him/her into the person you desire him/her to be and
that he/she would follow your plans for his/her life in the
areas of education, career, marriage, and ministry in a
society where conflict is so often resolved by violence and
children often struggle with the concepts of forgiveness or
righteousness.

I ask Lord, that you would give_________ the courage to
stand alone, if necessary, in order to do what is right.
That he/she will be a person of integrity and character,
knowing right from wrong.
